We have beautiful camas fields in Victoria during the spring and they make the perfect backdrop for family photos. Busy four-year-old Alex wasn't overly interested in staying still but did come in for some cuddles with mom, dad, and baby brother Ben.
This spring family session at Beacon Hill Park turned into a chilly and muddy adventure! We fed the ducks and climbed on rocks while the wind whipped our hair and mama and papa had to cuddle to stay warm. Sweet Asher was very concerned that all the ducks got equal amounts of food and made sure that one duck that was having difficulty walking didn't get trampled. And, I love how little Kipling ended up in dad's sweater! He looks pretty happy to be cocooned like that.

It's a cold, grey, and rainy day today so why not travel back a few months to spring days surrounded by camas? I'm lucky to have some special clients who have me document their families year after year, and Sarah (of Making A Life) and Stanko are two of those people. It's always fun to see them and their boys, and to see how Sasha and Logan are growing and coming into their own. I love how goofy they got... I'm not sure what secret Sasha was telling Logan but it must have been a good one because it got them both rolling with laughter! These folks have gone through so much together in the past couple of years - mama Sarah is a brain tumour survivor! - and seeing how close they are as a family is inspiring... plus the way Stanko looks at Sarah is just everything.
